Wool Roving

With our small herd of Navajo-Churro and Jacob sheep, we have a yearly supply of cleaned, carded, and picked wool (roving) for sale.

Roving is the processing step just before spinning the wool into yarn. We sell roving from both our Navajo-Churro and Jacob sheep. At times we may have skeins of yarn available when we aren’t using it ourselves for projects!

Navajo-Churro roving is exceptional for felting projects or spinning into rug yarn for weaving.
Jacob wool is much softer for sweaters, scarves, and many other clothing projects where the end product needs to be soft against the skin.

Natural colors of our roving & yarn are white, beige, cream, brown, and grey depending on the specific sheep.

We enjoy selling locally but can ship roving, batts and yarn (when available) if you are looking for a specific color to start or finish a project. If your local spinning or handicrafts group is looking for a reliable supplier, please get in touch with us.

If you would like an earlier wool stage to work out yourself, please contact us by early Spring about reserving a raw cleaned or carded fleece. We’ll try and provide exactly what you are looking for if you contact us early enough!
